Superman se tiene que enfrentar con una máquina creada por un genio de los ordenadores llamado Gus Gorman, contra un magnate megalómano que pretende transformar la Tierra y lo que es mucho peor contra un desdoblamiento de personalidad. Pero también habrá tiempo para que Clark Kent vuelva a Smallville, donde se encontrará con Lana Lang, su novia de la adolescencia.
